Visit the Panama Canal
As one of the 7 Wonders of the Modern World, the Panama Canal is a must-see for anyone traveling to the country. Built to dramatically decrease the travel time for ships between the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea, the Canal has seen over 900,000 vessels and counting. You can visit the Visitors Center at the Miraflores Locks, go to the Canal Expansion Observation center, or kayak on Lake Gatun. Lake Gatun is part of the Canal and you can also take boat tours to explore the flora and fauna of the lake.
Explore Panama City
Panama City is a cosmopolitan city that offers ample options of hotels, restaurants, cultural attractions, night life and shopping malls. If you are in Panama City you should not miss the marvelous Panama Canal, the Casco Viejo neighborhood, the Metropolitan Park, the Amador Causeway and Gamboa where the Municipal Summit Park and Soberania National Park are located.
